It is easy to be disappointed when someone else fails to deliver what we want. Don’t let someone else be the main source of your happiness; don’t rely too much on any external factor; happiness and fulfillment come from within.
Happiness shouldn’t be the goal or an objective
Do not let happiness be the only thing you aim for; that may lead to disappointment. Remember that happiness is not the goal, It is an outcome. What we do and how we do defines everything, including our level of happiness.
Looking at things from a negative perspective is not going to make you feel any better or happier, whereas a great perspective and a positive mindset allow anyone to overcome any challenge.
Even though materialistic things can make our lives better, they are not necessarily a source of happiness. Remember, you don’t have to own everything to be happy, since there is no limit to owning things anyway. There are many who own everything, and yet they are unhappy.
The fact is that being sad or unhappy is totally normal, no one can be happy and positive all the time. However, you should always reflect on your daily life and identify what makes you happy or sad so that you can resolve the issue to make your life better and more fulfilling.
Whenever something doesn’t work, never try to blame others; always take responsibility for your actions. It’s okay to be disappointed but never forget to self-reflect to know what went wrong so that you can try it again with a revised approach.
We are responsible for our own happiness
In the end, you are responsible for your own happiness; don’t let small and tiny issues shape your mood, or affect it. An overthinking and/or negative mindset will never lead to happiness, but it may indeed lead to sadness or anxiety.
Real happiness comes from doing the things which you love to do and following something you are truly passionate about. But, It no means to leave whatever you’re doing in pursuit of following your passion, If you can’t do what you love, then try to love whatever you do. Developing the right mindset is what matters the most.
Live in the present moment, don’t get your present consumed by the past actions or regrets, never let the overthinking for the future take up all space from your today.
Realize that true happiness comes from living and feeling each and every moment of your today, where overthinking solves no purpose and instead makes the situation darker.
Remember, whenever you feel sad, realize how privileged you are, be grateful for all that you have. The lifestyle you lead might be a dream for someone else, and that is why there is no reason to not be grateful. Do not give up on hope and keep moving forward, and don’t be afraid of the darkness, because there will be another sunrise soon.
