How does the saying “If you love someone let them go” sound to you? Or do you agree that It’s fine to let them go If they want to?
As we go through life, we discover new places, meet new people, create new friendships, and sometimes lose track of old friends as well.
That’s how life works, they might not have left you intentionally or they don’t hate you either. But, they might have a different plan, they might want to focus on their career and want to settle in a different city or country. This is how life works, nothing is permanent here, everything keeps moving, just as time does, so you should too.
If you love someone let them go, if they want to. Because you’re not selfish enough to stop them. It certainly does not feel right to stop someone just for the sake of ourselves when they want to leave us.
It’s not just about loved ones, it can also be your close friends or a family member. Everyone has their own career plans or wants to go their own way. If someone wants to move away from you, don’t hold them back, If they are happy there, don’t force them to be with you for the sake of your own happiness. If they don’t wish to be with you, let them go.
Embrace the reality of your life
Let whatever happens, happen. There is no point in feeling sad or helpless. Learn to embrace reality and accept the facts. Don’t lose touch with yourself.
It is important to appreciate someone’s courage if they leave you and move on for their own good, and encourage them to continue their journey regardless of your emotional connection.
Your emotional connections shouldn’t stop anyone from taking their key decisions.
We are emotional beings, we are the creature who think too. And sometimes we ended up making even simple things into complicated ones thanks to overthinking.
You’re are the most important character in your own life, don’t lose connection with your own self. Embrace the reality, respect their decision and try to keep moving forward.
In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.
– Robert Frost
Life waits for nothing, It constantly keeps moving forward at a steady pace. Don’t hold up the past and learn to embrace the future. Accepting reality is what matters the most. If you love someone and if they want to leave then let them go. Learning to let go is hard, but don’t forget that you’ve your life too. If they want to move on with their life then so do you, learn from them, and do the same.
Change is the rule of nature, nothing is permanent here. Unfortunately, sometimes there is the end of every beautiful journey, be it a relationship or a friendship. If someone is leaving you and wants to move forward for their own good then it’s our duty to support and encourage them. It’s not easy for them also to leave you, but they have taken a courageous step for their own good and that’s why It’s your duty to support them.
Focus on your life, embrace yourself
Eleanor Roosevelt once said: “Remember always that you not only have the right to be an individual, you have an obligation to be one.”
Never forget that you’ve your own life too, don’t take yourself for the granted. Don’t be emotionally weak, never let your heart take control of your mind. Take control of your thoughts and master your mind, because in the end you’re driven by your mind.
If someone wants to leave you then It doesn’t necessarily mean that they don’t love you or they hate you. It doesn’t necessarily any of’s fault. Accept the fact that not everyone stays in our life forever.
Yes, It’s true that you’ve spend a great time in the past and you’ve created great memories with them, but don’t forget that there is still plenty of new opportunities which are yet to come. Don’t live in memories, create the new one.
There is one best quote by Buddha, “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.”
Don’t let your past control your present. Always keep in mind that the future is more exciting and great things are yet to come. Believe in yourself and keep hoping for the best. Love and trust yourself, love your life and it will love you back.
