You can’t build a reputation on what you are going to do.
– Henry Ford
Meaning of this quote:
Your words are just as valuable as your actions. When words are far away from the action, they lose their power.
It doesn’t matter what you intend to do, especially if you don’t know how and when you’ll achieve your goal. In order to make your words count, you must demonstrate them with actions and results.
When it comes to turning a dream into a reality, planning is the key, but it alone is not enough. Lack of effort and action will lead nowhere.
A reputation cannot be built based on your plans but on how well they are executed.
Ideas hold no significance unless we execute
Instead of talking about it, do something about it. Never say what you’re going to do or how you’re going to do it. Instead, just do it. Your actions and results will speak for themselves.
Ultimately, our reputation is built on the work we have already done, not on what we intend to do.
The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.
– Walt Disney
You don’t need anything to dream about it. Almost everyone has a great goal or dream in mind, but not everyone can make it a reality. Dreaming or planning about something is one thing, but executing it is another.
Strive to be action-oriented rather than talk-oriented. Don’t forget that actions do speak for themselves. A dream without action is simply a daydream. All of the remarkable things around us were created by people who were more than dreamers.
A person’s influence is determined by what they have achieved, not what they hope to achieve. It is not what you dream, but what you do after you dream that counts most.
Don’t talk about it, let your actions speak for themselves
Don’t disclose your plan, never try to win someone based on what you’re planning to do. Instead, simply do it, execute it, and let the results speak for themselves.
Our own willingness to do something matters more than anything else. It takes hard work, planning, and perseverance. It certainly isn’t that easy and that’s probably the reason why so few of us choose to do it.
Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Wishing is not enough; we must do.
– Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
There is no substitute for hard work. Without it, almost nothing can be accomplished. The goal won’t become a reality if you do nothing. Don’t just dream it, create an executable plan too, don’t just plan it, execute it too.
The key to success is patience. Nothing significant has ever been accomplished in a short period of time. Make your moves in a way that helps you achieve your short- and long-term goals.
Motivation gets you started, but discipline keeps you on track. When you begin something, make it a habit and use it to help you stay on track. It only takes momentum to keep moving forward.
As long as you aim for your best efforts, almost anything is possible. Believe in yourself and don’t give up. Ultimately, what we believe about ourselves matters more than what others believe about us.
Realize that there is a fine line between dreamers and doers. Whenever you dream about something, don’t forget to tie it into goals. Planning and a roadmap give us a sense of direction, so by following them you will be closer to your first milestone.
Your beliefs become your thoughts, Your thoughts become your words, Your words become your actions, Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny.
– Mahatma Gandhi
