It is never too late to be what you might have been.
– George Eliot
Meaning of this quote:
There is nothing like missed opportunities, at least for those who don’t give up and keep looking for them. It’s all about having the right mindset, that’s what defines everything including the outcomes.
It is never too late to do what you always wanted to do. Time is an illusion, It’s a man-made concept. The best moment to get started with something is the present moment because, In reality, that’s all you will ever have, everything else is nothing more than an imaginary.
Remember that it requires a realistic approach. Be realistic enough because there is a fine line between dreams and wishes. It is never too late to become what you always wanted to be, but it does not mean that you should procrastinate and put things off until tomorrow.
It is better to start right now than to wait for tomorrow, as waiting for tomorrow might result in an endless circle of waiting. Getting started is what’s most important, no matter how small the steps are. Once you start, things can always be improved. Conversely, waiting does nothing.
Believe in yourself and wait for nothing
The right mindset is what you need, nothing can stop those who have the ability to find the source of light in the darkness. How one reacts when they encounter challenging situations defines the results. Either one can give up or one can adapt to it and get stronger to overcome it, It’s the choice that defines everything.
Let go of the past, stop overanalyzing the future, and start living in the present moment. It’s alright if you’ve failed to do certain things which you were supposed to do in your past, but don’t make the same mistakes again, the only important role of past is to learn from it in order to avoid making the same mistakes.
You should start doing the things that you failed to do in the past due to procrastination or other factors. Every new day begins with new hope and energy, and there is no such thing as lost opportunities as long as you keep on searching for new ones.
Remember, the best way to fail at something is to stop trying it completely by giving up. There is nothing like a failure for those who don’t give up and keep improving themselves with their results.
Be realistic, work strategically, analyze your results closely with the efforts you put into. Learn from your mistakes and keep working and sooner or later you will get the expected results.
You can always become what you might have been
What might stop you from doing something isn’t possibly anything external but your own thoughts and perceptions. There is one great quote by Norman Vincent Peale, “change your thoughts and you change your world”.
Ultimately It’s our mind that drives us to do or perceive things. Control your thoughts and you might be able to control the outcome. Certainly, It’s not easy, but one can always aim to control their thoughts to go on auto-pilot, especially the self-negative one.
Life is trying things to see if they work.
– Ray Bradbury
However, it does not mean that time is not important, there are some things that have to be accomplished at the right time. Do the right things at the right time, if you miss it, you may not get another chance.
However, this does not mean one should always regret the missed opportunities. Everyone might have lost something along the way. No one’s life is perfect. You may never get another chance to reclaim those lost opportunities, but you can always work to attract plenty of new ones.
In other words, don’t get sad about something which you’ve already lost, don’t try to control anything which you anyway can’t control. Don’t let setbacks from the past set back your present moments as well. Smile again, because there are plenty of new things that are yet to come.
In case things don’t work, maybe try to change the way things are done and see if it works. Giving up the goals altogether might not be a good decision.
Maintain a positive outlook for yourself and don’t let your own thoughts or self-talk drag you down. There is always a way as long as you keep trying.
Don’t regret the past or fear the future. Both bring misery through self-doubt.
– Deepak Chopra
