Meaning of this quote:

How do you feel about the past or the future, do you believe that they really exist? I think the present is all we have, and that’s the only truth, the past and future are nothing more than illusions.

While the past resides in our memories, the future resides within our imagination. And since we’re talking about the future, it is our present actions that shape it, and our present is heavily influenced by our past. That’s how it is interconnected.

Don’t let the regrets from the past make a negative impact on your present, because, In the end, It can create a negative impact on your future too. The key is to break this chain.

It’s okay If something worst and unexpected had happened in your past which was beyond your Imagination. Learn from your mistakes and do your level best to be better than what you were before, start your day with a positive note, learn to live in the present, and do the things that make you fulfilled.

Our present moments influences the future

Could it be that humans invented the concept of time? Aren’t we the ones who invented the concept of past, present, and future?

When I think deeply about life, what I notice is that the present moment is what I have, everything else is just imaginary. Everything around us flows at a constant speed, but, It’s our mind which perceives it differently, As an example, if you do something challenging, you will feel every second of it, whereas if you do something which you’re already used to, you will be able to perform that task for hours without even realizing it.

Keep moving forward because our lives do too. Don’t dwell in the past because you can no longer change it or experience it. Recalling those wonderful memories from the past isn’t a bad idea, as long as it doesn’t cause negative effects on the present.

It isn’t surprising that the very next second is also a future moment for us? And we can also break it down into micro-seconds.

That is why one shouldn’t wait for the right time to initiate something new because there is no such thing as the right time.

If you plan on doing something, start taking the first step and do not wait. Because when we procrastinate, we eventually find ourselves thinking that we should start doing it from tomorrow, this keeps rolling up, and as a result, it never becomes a reality.

Our past is nothing more than a collection of moments that we already lived and experienced. These are the moments that are kept in our memory and are easily recalled by our brain.

Don’t regret the past, the past is a stepping stone.

We all realize that it is difficult to forget the challenging and untasteful moments, especially the sad ones. However, we cannot go back and change the past. We can, however, learn from our past, make ourselves better than before, and create new great memories that motivate us to accomplish more than we ever thought we could.

Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have. Make the Now the primary focus of your life. – Eckhart Tolle

Remember, past mistakes or failures aren’t an endpoint; in most cases, nothing external can stop you from making key life-changing decisions; this must come from within.

When we lose our hope and give up, failure becomes an endpoint. However, a failure can also be a starting point when we do not give up and keep looking for new opportunities that will lead us to the desired outcome.

Failing can sometimes be a sign of something more beautiful and exciting. It happens because when we fail, our perspective towards life changes. We are capable of generating new ideas when confronted with difficult and challenging situations. This is because our mind has no choice but to seek a way out of those situations.

That’s why the past is a stepping stone for those who don’t give up but instead find the courage to learn from it and make their present better without being influenced by past regrets.

The past cannot be changed, but we can learn from it and make sure our today doesn’t look like yesterday, and this practice can lead to a better tomorrow.

But don’t forget that it all begins in the present moment, so strive to make it the best it can be. Learn all the good lessons from the past and let them help you to re-shape your present moment in order to enable the future moments you’ve imagined.

The first recipe for happiness is: Avoid too lengthy meditation on the past.
