Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it.
– Charles Swindoll
Meaning of this quote:
What occurs is less important than our reaction to it. Reactions drive action and action defines the outcome, so ultimately our reaction is everything.
No matter whether we succeed or fail, our reaction to both is what defines us. At the end of the day, we’re driven by our minds. How we perceive things determines our reactions to them.
Life is only 10% of what happens to you – 90% is under your control. Ultimately, no one or nothing can make you happy or unhappy; it all depends on how we react.
We are ultimately responsible for our reactions and actions. The way we feel and perceive things determines everything. Remember that nothing external can make you happy or sad unless you decide to do so yourself.
You get what you focus on
If you see the positive in others, you’ll see the same in yourself. In contrast, look for flaws or imperfections, and you may be able to see them from each other.
In the end, we attract what we focus on. We attract happiness by putting our focus on it, and similarly, we attract sadness by allowing ourselves to do so. When you want to live a happy and fulfilling life, focus on happiness, not just on negatives, because only focusing on negative aspects will not bring you joy.
I have found that if you love life, life will love you back.
– Arthur Rubinstein
Isn’t it true that if someone throws something at you, it’s up to you whether to react or ignore it? You cannot be offended unless you decide to be offended.
You should care more about what you think about yourself than what others think about you. Ultimately, how you feel about yourself is more important than anything else. You are the only one who controls your emotions unless you decide to react negatively and give them to others.
Even setbacks have different meanings for different groups of people. For some, it is a source of disbalance in their lives, while for others, it is merely a learning opportunity. The way we react determines the course of our lives.
Falling is not the same as failing. Staying down and refusing to get up is a real failure. Recognize that challenges are a part of life and that we can only overcome them by facing them.
You are the center of the universe, your thoughts and perceptions are the keys to everything. Allow your new focus to help you attract the life you’ve always wanted.
Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking.
– Marcus Aurelius
