Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.
– Marthe Troly-Curtin
Meaning of this quote:
Time is indeed more valuable than money. There is no substitute for time. Once time passes, it cannot be retrieved. Yet, stressing constantly about time does no good.
Stressing about time is a waste of time. A lack of “Me Time” is a waste of time. Not enjoying what you’re doing the majority of the time is a waste of time. Constantly worrying about time and ignoring our own well-being is a waste of time.
Vacations are not wasted time. Time spent with your family and loved ones is not wasted. When you watch your favorite shows or movies in your “Me Time” from your busy schedule, it’s not wasted time.
We are wasting our time when we cannot use it as we should in the healthiest way possible. Anything done at the expense of personal health may not prove profitable over time. Forgetting about personal health is a losing strategy. To lead a healthy life, we should strive for a proper balance.
Manage your time, but don’t get managed by it
You are in charge of your own actions. Ultimately, it is our own responsibility to manage and spend our time in a way that promotes a healthy balance in our lives.
Time is precious, and so is our health. Anything done at the expense of our physical or mental health is a losing proposition. Never feel guilty about enjoying your “Me Time”. As individuals, it is our responsibility to give ourselves some personal time.
Don’t gain the world and lose your soul, wisdom is better than silver or gold.
– Bob Marley
There is no point in feeling guilty about the way you utilize your time. However, regardless of whether you feel you could have handled your yesterdays in a better way, it’s in vain to let your past dictate your present. Learn from yesterday, avoid making the same mistakes in the present, and move on.
Don’t get controlled by time, take some time for yourself too, because you deserve it. Taking time out from your busy schedule to do the things you love is an investment in your well-being.
Being efficient is different from being busy. Being productive means giving it your all, whether you are at work, on vacation, having dinner, or spending time with family. Isn’t it true that we don’t have to work for 16 hours to feel accomplished? We can be productive beyond our work too.
The time spent doing things you love is not wasted time. There is a fine line between short-term pleasure and a long-term fulfillment. Browsing through the internet unconsciously and keep scrolling up certainly sounds like a waste of time, however, watching a movie with your friends or family is certainly not. No matter how you spend your time, spend it consciously, and be 100% present at it.
Remember that it is your own life, use your time properly, and make sure the decision you make also belongs to you. Utilize your time in a way that brings a healthy balance to your life. Let it bring you joy, fun, wisdom, and fulfillment.
