Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.
– Confucius
Meaning of this quote:
If you think deeply you will realize that life is really simple, but, It’s us who makes it complicated. It’s us who try to make things perfect and in the race of perfectionism, we often end up turning the simplest thing into a complex one.
Sometimes It’s the way we think that makes things overwhelming. It’s the overthinking that can result in complications, whether It’s related to your work or relationships.
Embrace the idea of minimalism. Have or own things that really require and cut off things that don’t really improve the functionality or increases the complexity.
Simple does not mean boring, rather simple means doing something, owning something, or thinking about something that really matters. What to focus on and what not to focus on is what defines everything.
Less is more
Just imagine you run a website and your website’s layout is a little overwhelming for the visitors and so therefore they are bouncing off due to complexity issues instead of taking an action by clicking on the “CTA Button”.
Isn’t it that fancy animation or beautiful layout translates to nothing when they bounce off from the website?
Sometimes all you need is a minimalist approach. Great results happen when we strive to remove obstacles or the complexity for the website visitors. Try to make it simple, the simplest it is the better there are chances of getting them on board.
Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking.
– Marcus Aurelius
Try to make it simple, let the mind be fully aware of it, and see things from a more clear perspective. Great things happen when we focus on what really matters.
Life is really simple, It’s we, the humans who are trying to make it complicated. Sometimes It’s our greed and over-expectations from others that lead to disappointment.
Isn’t it that It does not matter where you live, what you drive, or what job do you do as long as everything is functional and It helps to meet at least your current standard of living? Sometimes, It’s us who compare ourselves with others, It’s our way of thinking that complicates our life. Remember, growth happens with a clear objective and by focusing on what really important.
Life is really simple, It’s we who keeps overthinking
Critical thinking is what we need, there is nothing wrong with thinking about the problems or difficulties as long as we also think about the potential solutions as well.
Don’t let overthinking multiply the challenge into an ocean of complexity. Just stop overthinking everything, let go of over-perfectionism. Don’t think too much and keep going, remember, there’s always a way as long as you keep moving forward.
Sometimes simplicity is the way to go, though, certainly, there’s no doubt that not everyone can follow the idea of minimalism, but, we can aim to find a certain period of time in our day where we can cut ourselves off from phones, laptop, internet or from all the screens around us.
Smartphones and Internet have made our life easy, but, isn’t it that they cost a certain level of complexity at the same time?
Convenience comes with hidden complexity. Remember, no one’s life is perfect, everyone is facing some sort of problem in their life. Sometimes all you need is a perfect balance of everything to make it work.
There is nothing good or bad, but, overusing something a certain way is what causes a negative impact. Figure out those habits that set you back or increase the complexity in your life and try to eliminate them in order to make your life simpler.
Life is really simple, sometimes It’s not life but It’s our thoughts that make it hard. Our mind is very powerful, let it work for you, don’t use it for overthinking because that’s where it starts working against you. Embrace yourself, feel the beauty of life and realize that there is nothing like complexity as long as we eliminate the unnecessarily complicated objects.
If you’re stressing over happiness, you’re doing it wrong!
